MyGrafico Monday ~ Feature file Easter Clip Art

Oh I just love these cute little Jelly Beans...
I used the print and cut feature with my Cameo

I cut them in a few different sizes, then I cut this card with the scallops
and the jelly beans fit right into place... it could not have worked out any better...

I used my Stardust Chalk from Stamp N Plus Scrap N with water in a small spray bottle
and OMG !!! I love how it makes your project shine/shimmer ... wish you could see it !!!!

The title 'Happy Easter'
was made by using my Amy Chomas Creations pen holder for the Silhouette Cameo
then cut the shadow ... then cut the shadows' shadow ... heehee hope thanks since ?
I don't recall the font I used, it was something I had on my computer already ...

Happy Monday Everybody !!!

Have a wonderful week...
it's spring break for my kidos... so off to the sun we go...

Chalk Ah Lot Cafe Challenge ~ Anything Goes

This is week 2 of this challenge over
@

Chalk ~ Anything Goes

I ran across this great sentiment over at Stamp N Plus Scrap N
' Life is Like Fishing  ... you never know what your going to get'
and I just knew I had to have it...but then I had nothing to put with it...
so I HAD to have this little dog that's fishing  ...  again from
I used the chalk direct to paper/card stock technique, by coloring in the stamp
as well as coloring the water in 'general'  ...
I used the chalk colors ~ Sky, Teddy Bear, Dusk and Blush
It's kind of a simple card...
I used VersaMark and heat embossed the sentiment, OK so I am not the best at this stamp'n thing  ... but it is getting better  ...  just bear with me  ...

Well, I guess I am doing good enough to become a 'Senior DT' for
this Chalk team...oh, I am so excited ... I never knew this was coming  ...

Oh and while you are here  ...
put it on your calendars  !!!
There will be another
3 DAY blog hop

I think its going to be pretty fun  ...
and really easy to cash in on some goodies  ...

I used some pop dots for each of the items, giving it that 'home/hand' crafted look...

Welcome to our blog hop today!!! Its my granddaughter, Lily's,first birthday and what better way to celebrate is with a little help from my friends and having a party! A beautiful baby girl with all pink buttons and bows thus we will be celebrating first birthdays using the color theme pink with a dash of buttons and bows not to mention a splash of blinng.
Sit back, grap a cupcake and punch and enjoy Lily's first birthday.
If you just happened upon my blog by mistake, I want you to get your big girl shoes and panties on and start at the beginning which is Lynne at Lynne.
SEW, if you came from Shannon then you are in the right place.
For our blog candy, it is going to be a pink package with buttons and bows of course with a bit of splash of bling and Stickles by becoming eligible with just leaving a comment on each baby step along the way and becoming a new follower if you sew desire!! How easy is that!!!!

Happy Birthday Lily !!!!

Today I bring to you a birthday wish to a dear friend's grand daughter, Lily... the blog hop is just so fun....she is having a bunch of us make birthday cards to send to her, then she will forward them to her beautiful grand daughter...

Well I saw this file from SVGCuts and said to myself, what a great Pink Buttons and Bows project that would/could make....

I got the pedestal svg file from Poplar Street Tulips SVG Kit, I used DCWV and AC Card stock... used the bow file from Silhouette America, Lori Whitlock is the creator of it...
I added some twine and a cute little flower button. Oh I just love how this project turned out....

Then I went back to the posting about the blog hop and it was at that point that things dawned on me .... I needed to make a card to put on the pedestal...a card to send to dear little Lily...
So I put together this cute little easel card.
Of course I put a Happy Birthday Spin on it, by using some other files from
I was sure to ink the edges and used LOTS of pop dots to give it dimension...

Sorry the picture does not do it justice, cuz it really is almost as cute as the pedestal it's sitting on...
I am sure you will be seeing more of this pedestal on my future postings as I think it will be great to display different items...so it stays here... sorry Miss Lily....
I hope you have enjoyed my projects for today, thanks for hopping....

Thanks for stopping by and
Happy First Birthday Lily!
Your next stop along the way Janet S....

Chalk Ah Lot Cafe Challenge - Glue and Chalk - Oh and a Winner

Good morning...its Sunday and its been a rough weekend for me, I normally would have had this post up by no later than 5 am Arizona time, but life happens and well here it is....

This weeks challenge over at Chalk Ah Lot Cafe Challenge Blog is to use chalk with GLUE... ahhhhh...
so I worked and worked with this...it's kind of like chalk with paint...but the glue seems to keep the color more true to color... as you saw on my blog hop day 3 I used chalk with paint. The color of chalk I used was purple and as you saw it came out more of a blue, still very pretty but I like the glue cuz of that...the down fall to that is the glue seems a bit 'lumpy' but that could be good...as it gives it a texture...so its good...
Any way I worked it with like 3 different cards and just could not get it to look right and then my little helper (my guardian angel) told me to try this....

I mixed Teddy Bear powdered chalk and some just plain white school glue (no name brand here, lol)
I then used an old paint brush that was kind of stuck together...that had not been cleaned out really good the last time I painted with it...I think this is kind of important...I did not want perfect streaks... I painted on plain white card stock that I get from Sam's Club (so pretty cheep stuff, well kind of, lol) in one direction. Then impatient me, used the heat gun to dry it faster...then I painted in the opposite direction over the same card stock. Again used the heat gun to dry it... I distressed the edges and inked them... I crinkled the paper in my hands to go with more of the distressed look...oh yeah before I crinkled the paper I stamped my sentiment  (from Stamp N Plus Scrap N)over the dried glue/chalk streaks... I had bought a ton of coordination's card stock so I have to start using it...you will see more of it...lol...anyway I cut the bottom of the card to an A2 size and dry embossed and sanded it down to get the blue to come thru...added some brads to my glued paper.... this is kind of an important part... I had to adhere the glued crinkled paper to the coordination's paper after it was sanded ... I tried my tape gun and that did not have enough 'sticky' to it so I used my xyron to get a good hold to the papers...

Well that was alot of info, so with that....I would like to announce the winner to the Chalk Ah Lot  blog hop and the winner is........................................... announced on the Chalk Ah Lot Challenge blog...

Dr. Seuss Blog Hop

“Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!” ― Dr. Seuss

Don't hop on pop but hop on top of the Dr. Seuss Blog Hop, where a bunch of talented people came up with their own interpretations of the wonderful imagination of Dr. Seuss. The skies the limit when you have an imagination like Dr. Seuss and talent like those in this hop. Our hop today is hostessed by Jearise in Lorby's World and that is were to begin if you've happened here by chance otherwise continue on my friend.

Jearise in Lorby's World has some fun blog candy for this hop. She has a stuffed Cat in the Hall and a fun Thing 1 and Thing 2 craft plus a $10 gift card to Michaels. I know they're silly but doesn't that follow in the steps of Dr. Seuss?

Theodor Seuss Geisel  1904 ~ 1991

Born in 1904, Dr. Seuss wrote more than 60 books for children before dying in 1991.
His writings have become classics, bestsellers and will forever be read and cherished by all.
Four major motion pictures have been made based on Seuss's classic books (How Grinch Stole Christmas, The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears A Who!, The Lorax).
An entire area of Universal Studios Islands of Adventure theme park is based on Dr. Seuss.

Today I wanted to do a card for Dr. Seuss, signifying his sucess...
I have two more to share that really touched my heart,

'You know your in love
when you can't fall asleep
because reality
is finally better
than your dreams.'

'Today you are you
that is truer than true
There is not one alive
Who is youer than you.'

This is the inside of the card, another of one of his Great poems...

Can I just say I love, love, love my Cameo... I found these great images online from various places by doing a goole search. I brought them into Silhouette Studio Designer Edition.
Once there I was able to resize and organize and even trace the hat image to cut,
Oh and yeah I used my handy dandy Chomas Creations Pen Holder to write(cut) the poem on the inside
I printed what I wanted, then did the cuts with my Cameo......
added some pop dots and a little ink...
whah la... there you have a simple, yet personal card.

Dr. Seuss, May you always be remembered for your inspiration to many...
keep the love of reading alive in each of us....

Thank you for joining us because...
“You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So... get on your way!” ― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You'll Go!

Your next stop is  Ellen - CardMonkey

If you get stuck behind the great parade down at Mulberry Street, here's the links that you can follow on the Great Thing-a-majigger as you are on an adventure. "The Cat in the Hat knows a lot about that!"

I saved the best for the last...heehee...today I have an altered project for you...I got this white eraser board vinyl... I had it my head what I wanted but it just ....  came out better than expected...
I used a purple color chalk and mixed it with some paint (Buzz N Magic Paint) by the same company that sells the powdered chalks....and when I say it does not take much chalk to get the color you want, I mean its not but a pinch of chalk with a glob of paint... This is and 8x10 old basic frame that I had laying around...up-cycle ... my fav thing to do...
I wanted to add some cut files to this project so I used SVGCuts Cheryl's Cute Bugs collection and a
3D bow from the Silhouette America Store.
I cut some purple vinyl with my Cameo to add the word art at the top...
